Sid Weber Cancer Fund  (706-746-5770)

Please contact John Erbelding, Sid Weber Cancer Fund President, for more information.  They help people who have been diagnosed with cancer with their everyday living expenses (electric bill, housecleaning, child care, etc).   They will arrange for transportation for treatments for the patient and one family member.  The fund does not pay for medications or medical bills.

Tuesdays & Thursdays

Vocational Rehabilitation Services (800) 846-9634 helps disabled people go to work.  Annalise is in the Clayton office on Tuesday and Thursday.  They also work with permanently disabled (emotionally or physically) clients and are able to do home visits.  

 

Thursdays

4th Fridays

FAITH’S Power House for Kids, a child advocacy center which serves Rabun, Habersham and Stephens Counties is having a fashion show on Saturday, September 27, at Glenn Ella Springs Inn, Clarkesville, GA.  Lunch will be served at noon with the show wrapping up about 3pm.  Tickets for lunch and show are $40 and are available at the Rabun County Chamber office and FAITH offices.  Tickets, for the Grand Raffle of an “Ashburn Commode table” valued at $4,250, are $10.
